Following the release of four heavy-hitting singles earlier this year, Fit For A King's forthcoming sixth album is set to debut on September 18th via Solid State Records. Featuring 'Locked (In My Head)', 'God of Fire', 'Breaking the Mirror', and their most recent 'Annihilation', along with six brand new tracks, The Path leans harder on the metal side of the band's sound, with shredding guitar solos and massive catchy choruses rivaling those that propelled their fiercest fan-favourite anthems.
Featuring vocalist Ryan Kirby, guitarist Daniel Gailey, bassist Ryan O'Leary, and drummer Jared Easterling, this Dallas-based metalcore giant formed in 2007 with a sound appealing equally to anyone whose tastes were shaped by gateway bands like Slipknot and Korn, or new wave of American heavy metal torchbearers like Killswitch Engage and As I Lay Dying. Rightfully hailed as "majestic and punishing", genuine connection, fearless transparency, and an accessible relatability are the most essential elements of the band’s powerful presence, with an overarching stand for triumph over adversity.
Speaking on the forthcoming album, Kirby shares: "In the past, we have dove into some pretty dark areas of life, with Dark Skies being the pinnacle of hopelessness. With The Path we find our way out, and claim victory over the demons we have faced and are currently facing." This album is further described as the soundtrack for those who muster the strength to carry on, to survive, to achieve, and to defeat all obstacles in life; the perfect soundtrack for fighting through life’s most painful and difficult seasons.
