UPCOMING RELEASE: 'EMBERS' by NAUTICAL MILE

Updated: Aug 19, 2021

After almost nine months of silence following their 2020 single, 'Purgatory', Perth's pop-punk outfit Nautical Mile have announced the imminent release of their latest EP, Embers, set to see the light of day next month on September 10th. To celebrate its global release via Manic Kat Records, the boys have also announced Australian tour dates in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth, kicking off on October 1st alongside mates Carrington.

Consisting of Brodi Owen, Caleb Wynter, Dan Ray, Nick Henrisson and Jake Vimini, Nautical Mile surfaced from Perth, Western Australia in 2016 with the release of their self-titled debut EP. Playing For Keeps (2017), the band's second release, reinforced their foot in Perth's pop-punk scene, as did singles 'Better Half of Me', 'A Life Worth Dying For' and 'Regicide' in the lead up to Nautical Mile's first national tour the following year. Twenty-nineteen, however, took the band to new heights with three Australian tours alongside Hellions, Senses Fail and Hands Like Houses, plus the release of their debut album, The Only Way Is Through, featuring singles 'Marionette', 'Shattered' and 'Wake Up' which garnered a collective 182,000 streams.

With the disruption brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, the band spent most of 2020 writing the follow-up record to The Only Way Is Through (2019), releasing the album's first and the year's only single, 'Purgatory', on November 21st. Their five-track September release, Embers, will also feature tracks 'Dying Light', 'Where Do We Go', 'Suppression' and 'Embers', which can be pre-saved here.
