NEW RELEASE: 'SLOWBURN' by TELLTALE

Fresh off signing to international label Rude Records, pop-punk outfit Telltale have shared their scorching new single ‘Slowburn’ with an accompanying music video.

Speaking on the environmentally-conscious track, vocalist John Carteret shares, “I’m not claiming to be an expert on the climate crisis. The goal of a song like ‘Slowburn’ is to encourage people to ask questions. It doesn’t require an uncompromising shift to sustainable living, just an introspective look at ‘what can I do better?’”

“The biggest effort that young people can make right now is writing to their local politicians to oppose corporate CO2 emissions, and learning through research," he continues. "Staying informed on the effects of globalisation, [the] polarisation of the media, and just generally informing your political stance can make all the difference.”

Comprised of vocalist John Carteret, guitarist Bryce Marshall, bassist Tim Fogg and drummer Travis Slack, Telltale formed in 2017, releasing their debut single 'Atlas' and EP Good Intentions that same year. Between a number of hit singles in the years to follow, the band released their debut album Timeless Youth in 2019 while securing support slots with the likes of Broadside, As It Is, Real Friends, Assuming We Survive and Young Culture, both at home and on the road. At a rapid pace, Telltale continues to carve a new heart into the solid tree of pop-punk with their everyday soundtrack for the uninvited, brokenhearted and cast-aside.

A taste of what’s to come from Richmond-based rock band, Telltale has confirmed fans can look forward to more new music coming later this year.
